Why Are There So Many?

Is there a manga of Mei-chan no Shitsuji? Because It's the most shoujo manga-esque shoujo drama I've ever seen. It's like the girl version of Yukan club mixed with Harry Potter. It's ADORABLE.

Also, what is it with Eikura Nana being bullied? There was the debut drama where she had to stick her face on a real bathroom floor and be whacked in the head by a mop at the same time, and now she's shoved into a ditch and soaked in kerosene. Poor baby! Is there something about her face that screams "SCHOOLMATES! COME KICK ME!!"???

Also. I'm beginning to remember why I was insanely attracted to Hiro to begin with. (And no, Emi, he's not as anorexic as he was in Hana Kimi.) He's SO PRETTY. But...his costume bothers me. In the light, certain angles of it glitter...and that confuses me, because I can't tell if it's shiny or not.)

I am going to keep watching this and be amused by the ultimate shoujo-ness. OH MY GOD THE FUN.

I LIKE him now! I officially like Matsujun! I was just watching the 嵐 cut from the FNS Music Special 2008, and I was watching him sing his solo from One Love, and I was just sitting there thinking, "awww, he looks so happy!" and that made ME happy! I don't think I dislike him at ALL anymore!

Honestly, though, that TSD clip was hilarious. I ALMOST felt bad for Aiba. Almost. And Kenta was adorable. And I always love Shizu-chan. Even when she's attempting to molest Aiba. Because she's adorably gigantic.

And no, I'm not going to see that movie. It seems to creepy even for me. And I still don't like Brad Pitt.

IYAAAA~, Hiroki FINALLY showed up in Bloody Monday!!!!! (Yes, I'm behind. I've been holding myself back so that I can watch a few at a time and slake my craving.) But I've been waiting for two and a half episodes and he's THERE NOW!!!! Geez, between Innocent Love and Bloody Monday...HE'S SO HOT RIGHT NOW. I LOVE it when fantastic actors are fantastically attractive.

Bloody Monday's great, though. It's one of the first shows I've seen in a VERY long time that has me guessing about the plotline for a character. I mean, even though I love Ryuusei no Kizuna, everything that's going to happen is and has been fairly obvious since the start. In Bloody Monday, though, I can see how Fujimaru's father could have still been framed despite the new damning evidence shown in the third episode...I want to know what's going to happe~~n! I THINK he's innocent, but I'm not sure. At least, I don't think he's connected with J. If he IS doing all of this, I think it's because Fujimaru and his sister are being threatened, but I don't think he's a spy.

GOD I'M SO HAPPY TO WATCH HIROKI BEING SEXY. I haven't seen him in ANYTHING lately. (I couldn't bring myself to watch HachiKuro.) Maybe I'll rewatch Sushi Ouji and Stand Up!! and Gokusen (even though he wasn't particularly attractive in Stand Up!! and Gokusen...but he was awesome!!)

Also, I TOTALLY didn't realize that DAIGO played the sex-demon-musician guy in Stand Up!!. I really do have to rewatch it now.

I am epitome of happy. I also cease to speak good. I LOVE DAIGO. Everyone thinks he's so badass-rockstar-WHISH-man and then he shows up in front of a camera, smirks, and GOES TOTALLY LOSER. He is FAR too pretty to be a man (and as I think I wrote before, he's GACKT-pretty, not like normal japanese-man-pretty--he is a WOMAN with the voice of a surprisingly deep-voiced man) and he's HILARIOUS and I adore him because he's SUCH A LOSER.

You know who I want to see on Shukudai-kun?  Perfume.  Generally the idea would appall me because I despise Perfume, but whatshername--Acchan?--her ABSOLUTE idiocy would drive the boys over the edge (especially Matsujun) and hilarity would ensue.  It was bad enough when Perfume were with Kinki!!  I can just see all of Arashi's reactions now.  Aiba would be giggling in a corner for basically the entire episode.  Ohno and Ogu-san would be staring in completely befuddled confusion because they wouldn't be able to understand how someone could possibly be that stupid (except Ogu-san would probably switch between that state and hitting on KashiYuka {perverted old man <3}).  Sho-chan would be torn between attempting to salvage the situation (and giggling) and his urge as a natural comedian to completely EXPLOIT the situation.  Nino would be sitting rubbing his face and burying it in his hands like he does when he's nervous or exasperated, and Matsumoto would be PISSED.  He'd just sit there and scowl and every once and a while laugh unpleasantly.

...maybe...I should stop watching Arashi bangumi...

NO.  NO.

DAIGOOOOO~!  Seriously, if anyone gets a chance, watch the Shin Doumoto Kyoudai with DAIGO.  It's HILARIOUS.  Koichi is revealed to be possibly the worst lover in the history of the world, and subsequently gets a lecture on love from DAIGO.  Lots of other hysterical happenings happen.

OHNO'S GONNA BE IN ANOTHER DRAMA~~~~~~~~~!

Okay, it hasn't quite sunk in yet, so I'm not going to be able to squee to my fullest potential in this post. (Although honestly it doesn't look as good as Maou was...but then, that would be exceedingly difficult, and I shall reserve judgment until I've actually seen it.) But have no fear--there will be PLENTY else to read. Even if you don't want to ^^

1) George's exhibit is GORGEOUS. If anyone has a chance to skip into Kino before the 30th, check it out! The pictures are mostly scattered around the escalator and upstairs-stairway area--my favorites are the daylight Japan pictures near the bottom of the escalator. The opening was fantastic, of course. I got to snuggle with Hillary and Ryo (which was nice, since I almost never get to see her anymore) and a little less so with George, because he was busy geeking with other art-type people, and as many people know, I have no artistic talent whatsoever. Kossan, George's friend, showed up and sang some awesome traditional Okinawan music for about an hour. My favorite was the old man drinking song--literally "Ojii Ichiban Orion Biiru". It was hilarious. Then the lead singer of happyfunsmile showed up for a special appearance that George had requested of her. The song was gorgeous. HER VOICE IS BEAUTIFUL. happyfunsmile looks like a great band--I'm going to start fangirling them~! Unfortunately, the last time they played in the city was October, and I don't see any new gigs posted on their website ;_;

Sam came with me (he's the awesomest baby brother ever. Yes, awesomest is a word. He cooked me food all weekend and he's let me abuse him for WEEKS now~! Why am I so mean?) anyway, we found the Daigo photobook. Daigo is HILARIOUS. He's far too pretty to be a man (and I'm talking GACKT-pretty, not, say, Higashiyama man-pretty.) And he loves that everyone thinks he's a badass rock-singer ~WHISH!~-displayer even though he knows he's really a total dork at heart. (His SDK interview with Koichi and Tsuyoshi was hilarious.) Anyway, the photobook was gorgeous. He really is very pretty, you know.

We also found the XJapan photobook. IT'S BEAUTIFUL. Sam wanted it (because X-Japan is apparently "brutal"--he's still using that word to mean "awesome", I think), so I'm going to make Dad buy it for him so I can drool over Hide for a few months.

I WANT A SAKAMOTO PHOTOBOOK. Why doesn't he photograph well~?

Ooh, but at the end of the exhibit as Sam and I were loitering outside of Kino at closing time waiting for Ryo and George and Hillary to filter out, one of my Japanese teachers randomly ran up to the store with her daughter!!! I was like, "。。。澤田さん？” and she was like, "...eh?" and for a second it was awkward. But her daughter's adorable!! And I love her, so that was cool.

2) Random interlude: I think Tokyo Friend Park II fixed Ohkura's velcro suit in the Utahime episode. He jumped for the wall, hit it and went FLYING. TWICE. It was hilarious, but quite suspicious. (Nagase was madly adorable and completely psychotic {and probably drunk}, as always.) Also, TFP2 had that car up for giveaway for FAR TOO LONG. I think I'm going to start waking up from sleep clapping and going, "Pa~je~ro! Pa~je~ro!" Though it was cool to see Nino win one.

3) Speaking of dreams--I had the WEIRDEST one the other night. Many people are aware that this is something of a normal occurrence for me, but this was CREEPY weird, not just crack-weird. I dreamed that I decided I wanted to have a baby. I've been hanging out with Arman basically every day for the past two months, so this is not much of a surprise. However, I decided that I was going to get artificially inseminated.

It gets worse, don't worry.

I went to the artificial-insemination-place, and for some reason they had a bunch of babies you could play with (I guess so you could be sure what you were getting into, but...whatever.) Anyway, there were a bunch of babies there, and one was YAOTOME HIKARU.

Baby-Hikaru. Adorable and baby-cheeked and big-gap-toothed-smile and everything. And that wasn't the weirdest part.

Baby-Hikaru was a PAN.

You know, half-goat-half-man? There was a little baby-goat-Hikaru, and his hair was curly and white-blonde. His legs were goat-legs and covered with curly white-blonde hair, and little horns were protruding from the top of his head. And the worst part was that he was ADORABLE.

Well, apparently dream-me fell in love with baby-goat-Hikaru (PLATONICALLY, EMILY) pretty much immediately, and decided to adopt him. The artificial insemination people were like, "whatever, okay." so I adopted him, and we went and played with Cindy and Arman, and baby-goat-Hikaru and Arman had the time of their lives.

The weirdest part? IT WAS A REALLY GOOD DREAM! He was so cute! I want a baby.

4) Speaking of babies--ARMAN'S SO CUTE! I've been over there at bedtime lately, and I've been singing him to sleep. I've sung him all the random songs my parents used to sing me, and a surprising amount of Disney songs that I'd forgotten I knew. (I make a damn good Ariel when I'm singing very quietly! No, I won't sing for you. I STILL can't believe I sang Maa-kun's "Time's On My Side" at karaoke. <--shy.)

Anyway, we went to Rockafeller Center today and touristed for a little while so I could take a picture of Cindy and Arman for their Christmas card. I'll try not to spam your f-lists more than I already have, so here's a preview and a cut (I'm sorry, by the way! I'm fully aware that this entry is massively long.)

I WANT A TINY APARTMENT. I'm weird this way, I know, but Cindy's apartment is the PERFECT size for me to share with a friend and if I had money (which I vehemently do NOT) I would rent one like it. ::sob:: Sam and Cindy and I spent hours last night rearranging the furniture in her entire apartment while Arman was a, and it ended up awesome. We ended with pizza at about 11:00 (yes, pm), which actually was my first meal of the day (I KNOW, EMILY! ><) and then today, when Arman decided he didn't want to nap and instead jumped all over me while I was trying to take my own nap on the couch, the couch had been moved into the perfect position for him to climb onto the heater (from my head) and bounce into the windows. That was not so amusing. Cindy just sat there and snickered at me as her baby abused me. The things I do for the love of a child~

5) Still in love with Maa-kun. I don't really think that's ever going to end.

6) WHAT IS WITH HIGASHI-KUN? Look your damn age! He popped up in Becky's latest upload of G no Arashi for about thirty seconds, and I was like, "OH MY GOD! WHAT? HIGASHIYAMA, YOU'RE SO SEXY IT'S SCARY!" Of course, it WAS two years ago, when he was only forty-one and sort of in his SEXIEST PERIOD EVER--think right around the first season of Kuitan. So I was watching him be sexy-senpai-figure and could sort of feel my eyes melting out of my head, and so now of course I have to watch the first season of Kuitan all over again. His juvenileness and juxtaposed awesome courtesy in that show is brain-melting. And of course Go-kun's adorable too.

7) I'm supposed to be working on two Japanese papers...yeah, right.

8) COUNTDOWN'S COMING UP! OH MY GOD! Is it BAD that I'm looking forward to Countdown more than I'm looking forward to christmas...? But it's COUNTDOWN! I'd donate my hair to a wig shop for the chance to go to Countdown! (and as you know, my hair is BEAUTIFUL. So it'd totally be worth at least one ticket.) And this year Koichi's going to turn thirty when the ball drops~...it must suck to have your birthday on January 1st. I wonder if Nagase will molest him again this year? I'm pretty sure he kissed him last year. I love Nagase. Koichi-molestation is always fun.

I hope Higashi's back at Countdown this year. Watching him do "Andalucia" with Matchy and Koichi and Tsubasa and basically the ENTIRE history of Johnny's bouncing sexily behind him to Spanish-esque music is the most awesome thing ever in the world. I don't think most of the senpai were at last year's countdown...which is weird. I don't remember. I guess I'll just have to watch it again! ^__________^

I KNOW I'm forgetting something, dammit...oh well.

OH MY GOD Sakamoto's new haircut is sexy.  I don't even LIKE him with short hair.  I like him even LESS with blonde hair.  And SHORT BLONDE HAIR is a definite out.  But this new haircut is ADORABLE!  Wtf??

I'm snuggled up in bed at 11:30 on a Thursday.  I have a psychotic killer cat curled up next to me, purring her brains out and being soft and squishy and pettable.  I have several Diana Wynne Jones books in a pile next to me, Obama's our president elect, I can conjugate Japanese verbs, and Ohno Satoshi continues to exist.  What more could a girl POSSIBLY want?

 Okay.  Well, I didn't have very high expectations for Code Blue, so so far I haven't been disappointed.  Or particularly impressed.

But WHY?  WHY did they DO that to Kurosagi?  I mean, there were a couple moments I enjoyed, but overall...and Caesar!!!!

The writers of that movie should be shot.

Okay.  Well, at least I can say that I tried.  And I DID try to wait for the hardsubs, really!!!!!  But I couldn't make it!

SO.  I'm about to watch the Kurosagi movie--FINALLY.
